WHY CAN’T HAIR JUST BE…HAIR? | TODDLER BOY WITH LONG HAIR | NASHVILLE, TN LIFESTYLE AND MOMMY BLOGGER

Whenever strangers meet Wyatt for the first time, they’ll usually say something like, “She’s such a cutie” or ask what her name is. When we tell them that HIS name is Wyatt, they almost always mention his longer hair and ask if he’s ever had a haircut before.

It used to bother us a little bit, but now we just chuckle to ourselves inside because the society norms that expect boys to have short summer cuts and girls to have long, wavy curls are just silly. Why can’t hair just be…hair?

We’ve asked him countless times if he’d like to get his hair cut and he normally responds with, “No thanks. It’s happy!”

When this book, “Wally Does Not Want a Haircut” came in his subscription box from BookRoo, he was SO excited and absolutely loves it. He reads it multiple times a day and in the mornings when I am getting dressed and ready for the day, he’ll bring it into the bathroom and “read” it to me while I do my hair.

Gosh, I just love this little boy and his happy hair. He’s taught me so many things already and has altered my perspective as parent in more ways than I can count. (And to answer the other common question we often get asked: Wyatt gets his blonde hair from Joseph’s German genetics 😉)
