Welcome to The Home Sweet Homebody and a sweet Southern hello to all of you beautiful new faces and friends!
In October 2014, my husband and I packed up our tiny home in Alabama and moved to Nashville because we fell in love with this city during a visit a few short months earlier. We quickly envisioned ourselves growing babies and growing old here.
Ten years, two babies, and a new home later, we are finally living part of that dream we once had and it still feels a little surreal.
As an introvert, I’ve always been somewhat of a homebody and now that I’m chasing around two kids, the thought of going out and about every day can leave you feeling like there just aren’t enough hours in the day.
I used to feel guilty about working from home instead of renting a co-working space, skipping networking events, not going to story times, parks, playdates, and the zoo on a daily to weekly basis. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy those things on occasion, but now I’m discovering, that our time together at home can still be just as sweet.
My hope is to encourage those of you who spend the majority of your days at home (whether you work at home or stay at home with your family) to find unique ways to have fun and build memories and feel less like you’re missing out!
I’m grateful for those of you following our adventures at home. If we haven’t met yet, please say hello via the contact form above. I’d love to meet you!
