Before 2015, I spent most of my days on the sidelines, afraid to put myself out there and meet new people and take on new opportunities.
But 2015 taught me that taking steps out of my comfort zone were almost always worth it and I can’t wait to carry that over into 2016.
Just a little beginning of the year encouragement for those of you standing on the sidelines looking in.
Reach out to people. Say hello. Smile a little more. Reply to that email. Join a creative community. Attend an Instameet. Take that day trip. Send a thank-you note. Get past the small talk. It all starts with the little steps that really aren’t as scary as we make them out to be in our mind.
