When you find a tribe of friends who plan monthly brunch gatherings in each other’s homes and a group text goes out saying, “Brunch at 8am. Wear your PJs!” you tie those friends close.
Since the first week I moved to Nashville I was so shocked and surprised by how authentically sincere people and community were here. I remember thinking, “Surely these people are faking it. This can’t be real life.” and I quickly realized how wrong I was…and how relieved and encouraged that made me feel.
To be able to surround myself with people who also embrace the importance of hospitality and warmth, share laughter over quiche and mimosas (and yes, non-alcoholic for this mama to be), and encourage each other in the things that really matter…the things that aren’t just surface level…is refreshing and fab-u-lous.
Oh you know, just over here extending my thankfulness!
