HOW TO MAKE A ROBOT OUT OF A BOX | SIMPLE DIY ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS | NASHVILLE, TN MOTHERHOOD AND LIFESTYLE BLOG

I’ve been adding our daily super simple activities to a highlight in my Instagram bio for anyone looking for ideas to pass the time inside with little ones. Easy ways to get creative and have fun that don’t take planning or much skill. Anyone else follow our lead and make robots out of Amazon boxes for a robot dance party yet??

If you want to join the fun and make your own robots, here is a simple breakdown of steps for you to follow!

What you’ll need: an empty box, a box cutter/scissors, a permanent marker, and assorted colored markers.

    1. Choose a box wide enough to fit over your child’s shoulders.
    2. Find the largest surface side of the box and draw a mixture of robot-like shapes with a permanent marker. (I drew round and rectangular “buttons”).
    3. Using a box cutter (or scissors), cut out a circle on top of the box that is large enough for their head to fit through.
    4. Make sure the opposite side (the bottom) is open and not taped shut.
    5. On either side of the box, cut out two smaller circles for arm holes.
    6. Have your child decorate their robot buttons with colored markers.
    7. Slip the box over your child’s head, pop their arms through the side holes, turn on the music, and HAVE A ROBOT DANCE PARTY!
