WELCOME TO THE HOME SWEET HOMEBODY

Today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another here on the blog and I’m excited!

Five years ago when I moved to Nashville and started my adventure as The New Girl in Nashville I never thought my tiny journal entries about exploring a new city and making new friends would resonate with so many others and turn into something bigger.

When Joseph and I first got to Nashville, our dreams of setting down roots and starting a family here were still in the beginning stages. Now as we walk into the season of raising our two toddlers and a recent move into our (hopefully) forever home, it feels like the perfect time to transition away from being The New Girl in Nashville.

For the past ten years, I have either worked from home or been a stay at home mom. As an introvert, I found co-working spaces and networking lunches weren’t always my style and daily/weekly playdates for groups of kids were sometimes more draining than enjoyable. I felt that I had to do all the things and be around all the people in order for me (and my children) to thrive.

What I was missing was the fact that there were special moments and memories happening every day right in the walls of my own home. As I intentionally started to recognize those moments, I was able to embrace “home sweet home” as a homebody!

The Home Sweet Homebody seems like the perfect name to transition to on the blog and I cannot wait to share my every day moments and encourage those of you who also work from home or stay at home with children!

What can you expect to see more of on the blog, you might be wondering?
Well, I’m excited to share more about moments in motherhood and marriage, baking and cooking recipes the entire family will eat, minimalist home decor tips and tricks, and simple and fun activities to do with yourself or your kids at home.

From time-to-time you may see some sponsored content or a product recommendation, but please know that I will only share something I fully love and use myself. While sponsored content and promoted posts do help me earn a paycheck, my blog and social media are still 100% authentically me and I think you’ll see that.

I’ll also be sending out an occasional newsletter with top highlights from the blog, a few giveaways, as well as helpful tips to making your home a little sweeter. Click here if you’d like to sign up for my newsletter.

As I start this adventure blogging under a new name and share things on a more personal level, please post comments, share ideas, ask questions, or just say hello. I’m excited and grateful you’ll be joining me along the way!

    XO,
    Kathleen
